Great article from the WSJ. Even if you don’t qualify for CMBS debt, as the minimum loan amount is $3,000,000, this is still good news for you. The CMBS market means liquidity throughout the entire commercial real estate market. Banks can sell loans and reinvest/re lend on other deals, less pressure on their capital reserve ratios, more funding sources, more aggressive underwriting, better terms for borrowers, more competition among lenders, etc.
